TLIP has provided more than 700 students valuable experiences in the Texas Legislature, the offices of the Texas Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, city and county offices, and even Texas Monthly magazine.

2024年8月27日 · The Texas Legislative Internship Program (TLIP) is now accepting applications for the Spring 2025 session. This spring, TLIPers (as they are known) will have the opportunity to work in the 89th Texas Legislative Session in Austin, Texas.

The Texas Legislative Internship Program (TLIP) is an educational internship program sponsored by Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis and administered by the Mickey Leland Center on World Hunger and Peace at Texas Southern University.

Texas Legislative Internship Program participants will work in Austin, Texas where they will work on the 88th Texas Legislative Session. It is our goal to give the TLIPers (as they are known) an in-depth experience in the fast-paced, Texas legislative process.

Inquiry-based learning has received increasing attention and is shown to promote students’ learning in higher education. However, bringing inquiry-based activities such as case studies and hands-on demonstrations into the classrooms could be challenging for many.

Governments benefit from TLIP’s data integrity and confidentiality as it enhances the accuracy of cross-border data, reduces fraud risk, and improves regulatory efficiency. Secure data protection helps governments effectively manage trade and enforce compliance.
