We took two hours. Earlier was better. But start of the day was very busy. Half an hour after opening. Do some reading before hand, it makes it even more interesting.
Yes, it is busy at weekends but the galleries are big enough for you to feel comfortable. Car park will fill up quickly though. Best to go early - think it opens at 10 am - but better still go …
