You might be able to have a picnic actually at the site - I suggest you call them. A little way away are a pub and tea shop actually on the cliff top and the White Cliffs Nat Trust area just N of Dover would require a parking fee but the views are stunning. That's the other side of Dover. Nearby on the same Southern side as the Memorial is the Samphire Hoe nature reserve - again you'd have to pay to park but it's attractive with lots of picnic possibilities. V close to the Memorial is East Cliff & Warren Country Park but I haven't been there and don't know about the parking situation. Good luck from Janet

Hi Graham, I am not sure about inside the building, but outside the building and the memorial areas are dog friendly, although you may need to bring your own bowl and water for your dog. From time to time I take my dog there and enjoy the cliff top walk towards Dover from the site.
