Hi Robin -- the expedition is a blast: to answer your questions in order: The expedition runs "weather permitting". This means if there is a lot of snow - they may not run. Also - because you are off-road, mud and deteriorated trail conditions could effect whether or not the expedition is running. Simply put - you should always check ahead of time. As for the warm: it is an open vehicle, and it doe have flaps that can come down. But it will be chilly in the winter. You will need to dress accordingly. I hope that helps! tom
