Hi Yasemin! It's better to book in advance. And as far as I remember the receptionist there told us that it's better to do the drive in the morning.

Best to contact the Reserve via their website ( bookings on line via the " contact " section ) and the site has details of drives, times and costs. Normally gave to be two of you but you can join other groups if there is room. No need to use you travel agent - staff are very helpful and normally reply promptly
My wife and I will be traveling to Gabarone in September with our son who will be 18 months old at the time. We have heard plenty of horror stories about Safari close calls and inept guides that will keep us from going into the brush with our son. Of course a trek to Africa would seem incomplete without some wildlife experience though, so can anyone advise is this reserve safe for children? I understand that they do not have elephants or lions (probably our two biggest concerns). What about hippos? Has anyone had any close calls or dangerous moments at the reserve?
