Visit Caldicot Castle in its beautiful setting of tranquil gardens and a wooded country park. Founded by the Normans, developed in royal hands as a stronghold in the Middle Ages and restored as a Victorian family home, the castle has a romantic and colourful history. During our open season (April 1st - October 31st), the castle's hours are 11am to 4pm Tuesday - Sunday and entry is free (except for some events). We are also open on bank holidays. The Country Park is open 8.30am - 7.30pm every day.
