库斯科，秘鲁东南方部城市，人口约有30万人，座落在Huatanay谷中，被安地斯山脉环绕，是古老的印加帝国的摇篮。库斯科是库斯科大区及库斯科省的首府。 库斯科是一个高海拔城市，海拔有3400米，它的名字在秘鲁当地盖丘亚语意味着“肚脐”。1983年，城市中的古城列入联合国教科文组织世界遗产，登录名称为库斯科古城。在《秘鲁宪法》中，列明库斯科是“历史首都”，乃一象征式的声明。 库斯科是过去印加帝国的首都，也是印加文明的商业、农业与宗教中心。根据传说，在11到12世纪时，第一位印加国王曼科·卡派克建立了库斯科。今日在库斯科，印加宫殿的花岗岩墙壁仍然存在，纪念碑和太阳寺庙也都还保留着。明代《坤舆万国全图》称之为“故私哥国”。
