The distance from the parking lot to the island is probably a little less than a half-mile. The path to the island is either a wide paved path or a wooden boardwalk and is very easy to navigate with wheelchairs and strollers. The path around the island is mulch and has some inclines. I have seen people with canes or walking sticks easily navigate this portion of the path, but think it would be tough with anything with wheels.
