A must-see for anyone visiting Sicily. You can learn about the life of the nobility there. The mosaics and the stories behind them are simply fascinating. It was hard for us to leave the place.Shuki Z的完整评论

I need to decide where to stay overnight if I want to go to Villa Romana del Casale. I am in Ragusa and will head to Agrigento next. I don't know if I can do it in one day starting in Ragusa and end the day in Agrigento or do I need to stop by another town in between overnight?

I would stay overnight in piazza armerina and the proceed to agrigento the next day. It could probably be done in the day, but you would not get to really see the Villa Romano which has far more to offer really than agrigento( not just me saying this- everyone we met said the Villa is the real gem. When you are off the main thoroughfares in Sicily, it’s easy to get lost. Our GPS has panic attacks and often quit mid turn

We had a car but I’m glad you are including Piazza Armerina. It is not to be missed. You will love it’s old-town street and the “fish bone” side streets. It is so close to the Villa Romana that you could almost hike so I’m sure there are cars to be hired or a local tour bus company. If you have trouble finding one on the lnternet write me back and I will help.
