There will be steps you have to navigate, but don't hesitate to do so. the lawn areas are gradual sloped and many places to stop and rest. Once you get in to the castle, there is an elevator which passes thru 3 floors. If you want to take your time, and read some of what the history is, I would set aside 2 hours.
We are staying in Alexandria Bay and taking the Uncle Sam's boat over to Heart Island at 10:00 on 9/11/17. Where would we be able to pick up a deli sandwich or sub before boarding the boat. We do not want the box lunch that the boat offers. Thank you
