Absolutely. We took our Min Pin on the trails. Just bring water and keep up to date on their flea and tick medicine. Had a couple ticks try to make their way to warmer climates!

No, the unless you register as a camper you couldn't get in the gate for the evening, the exception is when are visiting someone camping and they let you in and out. This is standard with Florida State Parks. The campground and office for this park is a five mile drive from the entrance. This is a pretty remote area and it would be a very long drive just to reach the park, this is part of reason it is able to be a dark sky area.
