Sorry, I hadn't checked my emails. Mid-October does start getting cool but we have had some shifts in our climate. It's still cooler now in March. I think layering is a good way to ensure adequate weather but if it's rainy, then it's muddy. We don't see snow that early usually and wearing good shoes with strong ankle support is helpful. A good walking stick or Nordic trekking poles is nice too. Glad you can come.

A bit of a walk when you get off, but worth it! I have noticed there are many tourists just now so you will not get lost! Enjoy the area! It’s beautiful!

Encountering a bear here is unlikely, there is a good amount of people always visiting, making lots of noise in the area which usually deters bears.
