We saw 3 lighthouses on this day trip. Nice parking lot and then a short walk to the lighthouse. No fee to park. We didn't walk up the ramp to the lighthose, probably should have. I'll just have … bigtyke的完整评论

This area, according to legend, was named by native Indians because the rock outcropping supposedly looks like an owl. I have to say I have walked the lighthouse area, flown over it and sailed past it and I can not see an owl! However, like much of Mid-coast Maine the coastline is spectacular.
Are dogs allowed on the land outside of the lighthouse?

We took our dog up - - didn't see any signs saying they are prohibited. Please note though that space is at a premium up there so don't take you pooch if there are many people around.
