The gradual shift from autos to RVs began in the 60's when Sid Thompson became the local dealer for Aloha travel trailers. This was a natural fit for the family, as they spent most of their leisure time camping and picnicking in the mountains of Eastern Oregon. As Sid retired in 1973 Bob Thompson took up the tradition with a used car lot on Southgate Ave. In 1976, along with his new wife Carolyn, Bob added six Nomad trailers to the car business.
