Long Lake is a very pretty area. From the campground, you can hike "Dundee Mountain" as we call it. On the other side of the lake (head south on Division Road, turn right on F) is Dundee, WI. There is a neat little burger stand there (The Hamburger Haus) which is fun for lunch. Follow 67 south out of town and you will find the Ice Age Visitor Center. That is a neat WI State Parks run educational center on how the Kettles were formed; I highly recommend it. If you follow G south (road splits from 67 right near the Ice Age Visitor Center), you can turn left on SS and enter New Prospect. There is a little trinket/candy shop there. Keep going and turn right on GGG. Down the road is Park View General Store. They rent boats and bicycles. Just past that is Mauthe Lake Campground/park. Mauthe has some nice trails as well and a lake. Lots of trails, lots of little recreational areas, lots of pretty places to just take a drive. Follow the Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive (Google that). Greenbush is not too far away either. Greenbush has the Wade House (civil war era estate). (Google Wade House)
