Is the picture of the Stained Glass Window " Spiritual Power" designed by Frank Salisbury still displayed in Wesley's Chapel.? We have a copy of this Window in a frame, and a letter attached to the back of the frame, from the Assistant Private Secretary to the Queen Mother to Rev. George H. McNeal dated 11th July, 1930 from Buckingham Palace. We believe that the original framed picture was gifted to the Queen Mother by a Mr. Cato. Any further details of this picture would be very helpful to us, as the Stained Glass window depicts Missionaries travelling to Australia. Many thanks in anticipation.

Hello and thank you for your question! Sorry it has taken us so long to reply I only just got the email notification! The window is indeed still there. It was designed by Frank O' Sailsbury, dated 1930 and manufactured by Hawes & Harris, Harpenden. It says on it "presented by Fred J. Cato, Melbourne, to commemorate the sending of the Methodist missionaries to Australia in the early nineteenth century." The window was dedicated before a crowded congregation including the High Comissioner for Australia and the Agent General for Victoria. A picture of the window was sent to Buckingham Palace and the Queen replied saying she found it "very charming". I hope that helps! If you have Facebook we can repsond faster. Best wishes.

no thanks I want to know the nearest tube station
答:
Yes, we used Old Street followed by a short walk. Make sure you choose the correct road on exiting the tube station which is next to a large and slightly confusing road junction.
