The Australian box jellyfish (Chironex fleckeri), is so poisonous that if one of its 6-foot-long (1.8-meter-long) tentacles touches you, it's possible you might die before you reach the shore.
“The Australian box jellyfish, or Chironex fleckeri, is extremely dangerous and a constant threat through the warmer months on the Northern Queensland coast,” Torres Cape Health said.
