The DS 4's cushy ride and high-quality interior help it stand out from better known family SUVs. However, the best of these are more practical – particularly in the back – and better to drive.
In France, pricing for the DS No8 starts at €59,200 (equal to $61,300 at current exchange rates) for the base Pallas FWD and climbs to €74,600 ($77,300) for the top-spec Etoile AWD Long Range.
If you do buy a DS 4, we’d suggest choosing the entry-level Pallas trim and the mild-hybrid engine. This mild-hybrid petrol engine has a respectable 136bhp and 0-62mph time of 10.4 seconds.
