EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- A new giraffe was just born at the El Paso Zoo! The baby was born to Gigi and Juma, who welcomed Obi in 2023. The new, unnamed baby is healthy and just under six-feet-tall.
EL PASO, Texas — The El Paso Zoo is celebrating the arrival of a new baby giraffe, born after a 14-month wait. The calf, already nearly six feet tall, is the latest addition to the zoo's family.
“Well we experienced an early Christmas miracle over here at Boulder Ridge… Please join us in welcoming our new baby Giraffe to the world!” the zoo said. “Isn’t she precious?!
Zookeepers reported the birth of a new giraffe in the early morning hours of December 17. GiraffeThe zoo shared with KY3 that the baby, named Gelner, and its mom, Emma, are bonding and doing well.
