CANTON, Oh. (WSAZ) - A third state football championship has been 35 years in the making for the Ironton Fighting Tigers. They defeated Liberty Center 28-17 to win the Division V state title.

Detroit Lakes fell to 11-12 overall while Crosby Ironton improved their record to 2-1. Detroit Lakes' next game is scheduled to be played at on Saturday Feb. 23 at 12:30pm versus Grand Rapids.
