The Ford Ranger has finally been shown the door, and Nissan apparently wants to seize the opportunity to make its Frontier the the standout in what remains of the compact pickup truck segment.
For comparison, the RWD Ford Ranger, with its turbocharged four-cylinder, gets an EPA-rated 21/25/22 mpg, and the 4WD Tacoma i-Force Max returns 22/24/23 mpg. The 2025 Nissan Frontier is on sale now.
The Nissan Frontier is one of the lowest-priced pickups available; and with the discontinuation of the Ford Ranger for 2012, it's also one of the few compact trucks remaining on the market.
