Some bodies were burned beyond recognition while others were trapped inside or scattered on the scene. Limpopo traffic spokesperson, Jane Mulaudzi, says the R518 road is now open.

The crash occurred on the R518 near Mokopane, resulting in the deaths of 45 people. The only survivor is an eight-year-old girl, who's been taken to hospital for medical checks.
