Construction crews at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois, have placed the final piece of track connecting the lift hill to the drop on the new record-breaking dive coaster, Wrath of Rakshasa.

Six Flags Great America will operate daily from May 20 to Aug. 18, with the park returning to weekend operations for the remainder of August up through Labor Day, which falls on Sept. 1.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Six Flags Great America has announced its opening date for the upcoming season. The park in Gurnee will reopen on Friday, April 18.
