Traffic on major highways across Korea showed some signs of congestion Tuesday as heavy snow blanketed the country on the fourth day of this year's extended Lunar New Year holiday period.

SEOUL, Jan. 12 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's air passenger traffic jumped sharply from a year earlier in 2024, nearly reaching the pre-pandemic level on increased overseas travel, data showed Sunday.
