从临床表现来看，NSIP多见于青中年群体，女性患者略多于男性。患者的主要症状包括进行性呼吸困难和咳嗽，部分患者还会伴有乏力和低热。在体格检查中，部分患者在肺底部可闻及Velcro啰音，少数患者可能出现杵状指。这些症状的出现与肺组织的慢性炎症和纤维化密切相关。
