2022年7月29日 · Recently, a familiar-looking machine popped up: a 2002 Suzuki Bandit 1200. I haven't seen one in a long time, and when I do run across 'em, they're pure whupped. They were cheap when they were new and got more affordable after they were crashed a few times, so every one I see is about two steps from falling apart.

The Suzuki Bandit 1200 (a.k.a. Suzuki GSF1200) was the 2 nd largest displacement of all motorcycles in the Suzuki Bandit series. Released from 1996 to 2006, this sport-tourer featured a 106-hp power output and 71.6 ft-lb maximum torque and came in full-faired and naked versions.

I picked up this bike in Aug 2009 with almost 11k on it for just over Dollars 3k in nearly perfect shape, all stock. The power and performance is beyond what I was expecting. Its not a true full blown crotch rocket so its a little more comfortable to ride but it´ll still pull the front tire off the ground at 70 mph.

The Bandit 1200 is an interesting bike -- at first glance it looks very similar to the SV650, but there are quite a few differences under the hood, so to speak. The obvious one is that the 1200 has a, well, 1200cc engine (ok, 1157cc, but who's counting?), and four cylinders instead of two.
