What is the minimum concrete cure time required before post-installed anchors can be installed? Concrete that has cured for less than 28 days is referred to as green concrete. 2014年9月25日 · If you install a mechanical anchor in green concrete, I expect it would develop the full strength once the concrete cures, provided no loads are applied during this curing. I would expect an epoxy anchor to fall short of the expected strength.

My question relates to the time the anchor is loaded. If an anchor is installed prior to 21 days i.e. 7 days but is not loaded until say 28 days could one assume they would achieve full capacity or is the capacity still suspect?

Please note that we do not recommend installation into green concrete less than seven days after initial pour and that this table only applies to epoxy anchors. Per note ‘I’ on page 16 of C-A-2021 , mechanical anchors should also not be installed into concrete that is less than seven days old.
