2018年4月3日 · There are kits for lifting these vans however a 2+2 lift (2 inch sub-frame/2 inch torsion key) is about all you will get with the stock front AWD sub-frame setup. I owned a 1987 short wheel base Astro cargo van that was converted to front leaf springs and a solid front axle back in the late 1980's for a TV station van in Vegas.

2015年9月15日 · So on with the lift. This called for new wheels. Cragar Soft 8's all around. I don't have any pictures of the lift install unfortunately. Although kits are available, I was able to (with the help from other Astro Van forums) piece together a homebrew kit. The front was lifted with 2" body spacers and a little torsion bar adjustment.

2011年6月7日 · (Passengers don't always like it.) Lifted would have to be a bit slower. Maybe some new sway bar links/bushings to go with the shocks. If you aren't too worried about suspension flex, a rear sway bar can be added. (FYI, stock vs stock an AWD Astro gets a better RTI score than a YJ) True, any lift effects wind drag and gas mileage.

2012年1月17日 · Great man now worries, I assumed the CVs were ok as most who keep a reasonable lift but were worried do not seem to come back complaining, so will shoot for a similar lift, as I would like to push it a tad further. Yes starting to take parts off the van, pretty sure by the time I actually do the work I will have forgotten how to reassemble.
