L’Atelier des Lumières est un centre d’art numérique situé au 38 rue Saint-Maur dans le 11 e arrondissement de Paris. Créé par Culturespaces, il a ouvert ses portes le 13 avril 2018.

2024年2月9日 · After selling out tickets for the Gustav Klimt and Vienna Secession exhibit, followed by a blockbuster show on Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh and a tribute to the impressionist and expressionist painting of Monet, Renoir and Chagall, the Atelier des Lumières has firmly secured its place in the Parisian arts and culture landscape.

Opened in April 2018, the Atelier des Lumières is the first digital and immersive art space in Paris. Following up the wildly successful inaugural exhibition focused on Klimt and Schiele, the Van Gogh exhibition ran from February 22, 2019–December 31, 2019.

For the autumn holidays, the Atelier des Lumières has favoured the scenography of Asterix and Obelix. Good for the little ones but disappointing for our teenagers and ourselves. It felt more like watching a cartoon on a giant screen than having a real immersive experience (except when the sea is furious and the waves crash to the ground).

The current show at the Atelier des Lumieres. An exciting new venue for the arts opened in Paris in mid April 2018. Located in the former Plichon cast-iron foundry built in 1835, it has over 3,000 sq. metres of surface area and walls up to 10 metres high.
