2017年8月6日 · My questions are, Are programs Intel Rapid Storage technology and Intel Security assist considered to be bloatware? They came with the laptop and cant figure exactly what they do. The name Intel makes it sound like serious stuff but after searching Google I have the feeling that they do nothing and can be uninstalled. The laptop came with McAfee.

The amount of bloatware this machine comes with by default is staggering. The default install had 74 applications pre-installed on it. With a clean install and all drivers and Windows updates applied I only had 40.

2017年3月1日 · My recommendation for any "Bought" (especially laptops) computer with all the standard bloatware in it is : 1) Immediately - even before doing the initial setup - is to BACK UP the HDD entirely - including any "hidden recovery partition". Use something like Free Macrium from a bootable USB and save the image to an external device.

2022年3月17日 · Start Menu -> Services -> (for each ASUS bloatware service) Right Click -> Properties -> Set "Startup Type" to "Disabled" Others have recommended using a live USB to erase the bloatware file contents, but leave the files themselves intact to prevent force reinstallation. I have also seen a registry key edit method, however I am unsure if it works.

2020年7月28日 · The only app that is considered bloatware is Norton antivirus because widows has its own antivirus - Windows Defender that already does a good job. The rest are useful MSI apps but you can uninstall some. If you see some games ( f.e: a candy crush copycat), those come preinstalled with every version of windows 10 afaik.

2022年12月31日 · Bloatware. For all intents and purposes, any of these mobo packaged software suites are just bloatware. Aside RGB controls, which is forced upon you, there is nothing within MSI Center that you can't find executed better and with less bloat.

2021年11月30日 · Interesting suggestion. I tend to keep all software on primary drive and media / data on second drive. Also have a home Synology Nas to backup my second drive.
