Cleaning routine | Glock Talk
2025年1月5日 · Frequent cleaning won't harm a Glock and I find cleaning my rifles and pistols quite relaxing. My schedule is as follows: EDC and HD firearms - Field strip and clean after each range session (3-4 per year), test fire after cleaning. Detail strip once every 2-3 years. Competition firearms - Field strip and clean after each match (10-12 per year).
Roundtable: FBI Glock 19M Gen 5 MOS | Glock Talk
2024年10月9日 · Per the FBI’s RFP for a new service weapon 10 years ago, Glock came up with the 19M just prior to the creation of the Gen 5, which received a number of 19M features. The way a very few of these true FBI-used 19M models eventually made it to the public was that some were returned to Glock by the FBI, rebuilt (to varying degrees) and then ...
Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS faulty field strip symptoms
2024年12月18日 · You’d see wear on the barrel near the muzzle on G19 Gen 5 if it’s been shot a meaningful number of times. Similarly, it would be evident on the barrel hood where it meets the slide in lockup. Looking at the cruciform on your trigger bar, it doesn’t show much use. Don’t let the powder residue be of much concern.
G19 Gen 5 firing pin safety question - Glock Talk
2022年9月15日 · My G19 Gen 5 and others I have worked on all have a hole in the bottom of the plunger where the spring “seats”, but on this one the bottom of the plunger is totally flat. More like a G43 or F42 but totally smooth and flat. I am a Glock armorer but my certificate has expired and I have not updated my certificate since the Gen 5’s came out.
Cleaning the Gen 5 recessed crown - Glock Talk
2019年4月30日 · The infamous bore muzzle damage suffered by M1 and M14 rifles (which MUST be cleaned from the muzzle end) occurred as consequence to impact and wear from the steel cleaning rod sections attached the the cleaning brush. Unless one cleans a Glock pistol barrel using a steel rod that one purposely attempts to cause said rod to rub against the bore ...
Glock 19 G5 slide lock issues | Glock Talk
2021年1月18日 · So I bought this gun over a year ago new, it's a Glock 19 Gen 5 and all factory. I've probably put about 500rds in it or so, it's my EDC carry and I use it in competition/fun shots with it as well. It's never given me a single problem and function 100%.
Cleaning a glock G-19 - Glock Talk
2012年5月21日 · My G-19 tool kit includes: 17, 18, and 19 lbs. recoil springs. The trigger spring AND the FP Spring are both extra heavy 6 pounders. (An extra heavy trigger spring actually lightens the trigger pull.) One of the handiest cleaning tools you can own is a small bladed screwdriver; the kind that is often used for electronics work.
Glock 19 gen 5 recoil spring assembly difference
2024年12月23日 · The two RSAs pictured in Post 1 have since been revised by Glock. What-is-actually-different is unknown to me and Glock doesn't often disclose what those changes are. Glock has been changing RSAs and other parts over the years without much notice. The changes don't particularly make the older parts bad/defective.
G19 Gen 5 Slide is stuck - Glock Talk
2020年5月17日 · So I was cleaning my glock after a range day, got a little too ahead of myself, and put the slide on before I put any of the frame internals in (locking block, slide stop/release, and trigger housing). I cannot find a way to get my slide off. I have tried the only thing that I can think of, and that was to take the backplate and firing pin out.
GEN 5 19 Break in - Glock Talk
2017年12月12日 · I always leave the gold copper grease in slide. I clean the barrel maybe, but shoot it until the copper grease is gone, then a good cleaning. Congrats. BTW, the only thing it needs is lubed where the manual calls for it and then shoot it.
