2012年3月7日 · Hp Pavilion dv4 Notebook PC. 3.00 GB. 64 bit operating system. Windows 7 Home. My screen shifted to the left side, leaving 3 inches on the right black and 1 inch on bottom black. I've tried everything to get it back to normal screen size.

In a big display, with high resolution, there is a need to take a window that takes 50% of desktop and position it in the center. In Windows 10 (and some previous versions) there is a shortcut WIN + Arrow left/right to take up to 50% of space but it also puts window by a side.

2016年5月18日 · Invisible window "on top". No malware, just SLACK. Minimized, then moved mouse across screen until right click gave "wrong" menu or back for "right" menu. To find app, I ran Windows Spy from AutoHotKey and again moved the mouse over desktop until Spy showed the name of the app (Slack). Stopped all Slack processes and problem disappeared.

Part of the answer to this question lies in how pixel data is transmitted over VGA: If you could look at the data coming over the cable, it would basically look like a line-by-line scan of each frame coming in; this protocol was designed for CRT monitors, where each pixel on the screen is basically hit in sequence, based on the signal coming in.
