I wanted to start this thread to serve as a "what to expect" when ordering and eventually riding their Janus motorcycle.

2020年2月17日 · Janus’ Three Catching Motorcycle Flavors The Janus Motorcycles lineup is small thus far with only three models, Phoenix, Gryffin, and Halcyon. The Halcyon looks ripped straight out of the pages of history with a hardtail style rear end, classic lines, and sprung seat.

2019年7月19日 · In researching the Janus motorcycles I've found several blog reports and youtube videos about them, but surprisingly little of real owner's real world experiences. There's at least 315 Halcyons out there, and not sure how many Phoenixs and Gryffins.

2021年3月9日 · With the 250, the lack of performance is more of a turn-off than the Chinese sourced engine. It would be a great city bike and alternative to a scooter but where I live it's pretty impractical. My Royal Enfield 500 probably offers similar performance and I relegate it to back road use as a fun footnote bike to my others.

2019年7月19日 · I love the look of these Janus motorcycles, and have been on the fence for over a year but I can't get past the engine. 14HP and 11.65lb torque would get me run off the road. There are other motorcycles with 250cc class engines over 50% more powerful than that.

Janus has been building motorcycles in the Midwest for some time now—they launched operations in 2011, and delivered their first bikes in 2013.

2019年3月22日 · The Janus line is comprised of three different handbuilt models; the Halcyon 250, the Gryffin 250 and the Phoenix 250. Each has its own classic/vintage motorcycle disposition. The Halcyon is the quintessential vintage bike with long lines and the look of a bike manufactured in the 20s – 30s.
