Laura Huggins was the name of both a deceased human woman from Saratoga Springs, New York in the late 20th and 21st centuries and a simulated reconstruction of her made in early 2421. The real Laura worked at a clothing department store called Macy's, but had dreams of a singer-songwriting career.

A day before the episode aired, 20th Century Fox released a music video of Leighton Meester performing a cover of "That's All I've Got to Say," which is now hosted on Meester's YouTube channel. The video camera shots are different from what is seen in the episode and minimizes Malloy's presence.
