Provo (/ ˈ p r oʊ v oʊ / PROH-voh) is a city in and the county seat of Utah County, Utah, United States. It is 43 miles (69 km) south of Salt Lake City along the Wasatch Front, and lies between the cities of Orem to the north and Springville to the south.

Provo is the third largest city in Utah and county seat of Utah County in Central Utah. The city sites between Mount Timpanogos, a primary peak on the Wasatch Front, and Utah Lake. The city was originally name Timpanogots, after the Native Americans who original lived in the area.
