2018年8月13日 · I need to connect a sensor that uses a RS485 transmission to RS232 or something I can read through the com ports on my data logger. I can't use usb ports or virtual com ports due to the program I am required to use not accepting data through usb in any form.

2022年9月20日 · Likewise, the A and B pins can be connected differently. If you look at the schematic below, pin A is connected to VCC with a resistor and pin B is connected to ground with a resistor. However, in the second schematic, pins A and B are connected directly to the screw terminal. What is the reason for this difference?

\$\begingroup\$ Actually, that is not the schematic of my sintech converter. In my sintech converter, both DE and RE pins are short and connected to CBUS2. And it is a RS485/RS422 converter. So, there are two parellel RS485 circuits. In which RO pins of both MAX485 ICs goes into two pins of 3 pin regulator and 3rd pin goes to RXD pin of FT232R.

RS232 to RS485 (full duplex to half duple or master slave) the master uses the RTS to switch from RX to TX For RS485 to RS232 you will need a local microprocessor (to convert half duplex to full duplex)

Now that's not what you probably want to hear but it's probably the easiest, most reliable method. As far as RS-232 to RS-485 is concerned, I remember reading about using a monostable to provide the direction signal for the RS-485 driver IC.

I connected A and B outputs of my circuit's RS485 connector to the A and B outputs of other circuit's connector. Then i connected these two converter circuits to computer with RS232 USB cable.
