Somnacanth seems to be also heavily influenced by the mythical female spirit, Yūrei, with extremely obvious similarities with her long droopy kimono sleeve like arms, hair, and even posture. Heck, her claws are curly like the cold dead fingers the Yūrei are known to possess.

2022年9月11日 · Afflicted Auroracanth is where things get really dumb especially in multiplayer. I have an afflicted Auroracanth hunt, lv. 70, that has a Khezu and a normal Somnacanth before it, normal faints and time limit, and I have yet to see this hunt succeed in multiplayer because everyone get splastered and oneshot by the Auroracanth guaranteed.

Somnacanth is one of the best monsters in Rise, so yeah absolutely. I don't care what anyone says, they nailed the monster-siren concept both aeshetics and fight wise. The fight has a terrible reputation and for the life of me I can't figure out why.

2020年12月15日 · Somnacanth got those Sharinguts lol I really hope that this awesomely unsettling monster comes up in the later end of the story or at least has weapons that last till endgame. Sleep is such a fun status, but it suffers from ending up on early game monsters so their gear often gets left behind for other options.
