2011年9月1日 · Try the 5/16"-18x2" trailer deck screws, will last longer than the floor in my experience.Do have drill pilot hole. I've put a sick amount of those down in my life, I believe a smaller size, they do a nice job, that's the only thing I'd use

2014年8月19日 · Trailer deck screws are indeed the way to go, BUT I can't be sure, but looking at the pics, it looks like your crossmembers are mainly rectangular tubing. Might want to think twice before piercing them with screws. Lets water in, and leads to rust.

2015年9月26日 · I had a trailer kind of like that but mine had head ache rack around it. It was still pretty flexy and the deck was really flexy, to the point where numerous cross supports were buckled. The only cure for mine was to cut it apart, save the head ache rack sides and axles + tires, deck wood and rebuild it as a deck over axle.

2014年8月25日 · A buddy of mine just bought two new jetskis, bringing his total up to four. So not wanting to have to pull two trailers, he has almost finished his 4 jetski trailer. (I can add pics of that beast if you guys so truly desire) So I was able to pick up his old trailer for FREE.:cool: Anyway, I am going to turn it into a flatbed utility trailer.

2011年4月6日 · Actually, I saw it from about 50' away and it looked like it was a newer trailer. Then when we were at lunch I asked him about it and he told me the deck was bad. I would have never thought that by the looks of the rest. I think it was parked and the sun destroyed the deck. Until I look at it closer, I am sure I've hooked up to worse.

2022年8月26日 · I have to replace 33 cross members on a 53’ traveling axle trailer and I need to know if i cutout the coss member figure on one of the sides to slide in the new one as a whole piece will it affect the structural integrity of the frame. How much should I charge to do that and replace all the wood deck also and paint in california.

2024年10月1日 · The winch would sit just above the center jack stand. My plan is to brace the platform against the C channel header at the front of the trailer to counter the force of the winch. My other option is to mount it to the header, but this puts it offset of center and into the deck space. Attached pics show the trailer design.

2014年10月14日 · I have the identical suspension kit under my trailer (7000gvw), and I'm stacked to 16 1/2" deck-to-axle clearance with 15" tires. Average 16" tire runs between 30-31+ inches. 15" tire will run about 28+ inches.
