Adam James Powell (born 20 December 1976) is a Welsh computer programmer, game designer and businessman. He is the co-founder of Neopets and Meteor Games. Powell attended the University of Nottingham from 1995 to 1998 studying for a computer science degree.

Adam Powell was one of the original creators of Neopets. He created the site in 1997 (launched it in 1999) alongside Donna Williams but quit The Neopets Team back in 2007. His username is borovan.

Neopets was conceived in 1997 by Adam Powell, a British student at the University of Nottingham at the time. He shared this idea with Donna Williams and the two started work on the site in September 1999, with Powell responsible for the programming and the database and Williams the web design and art.
