Barton is an unincorporated community in Clackamas County, Oregon, United States, on Oregon Route 224 near the Clackamas River.. Barton was named after Barton, Wisconsin, by settler E. H. Burghardt. [2] Burghardt started a flour mill and store near the mouth of Deep Creek, and later was postmaster of the Barton post office, which ran from 1896 to 1935.

2023年8月2日 · This is a leisurely float along one of Portland's most famous rivers, the Clackamas. You'll start at Barton Park, floating 5.5 miles to Carver Park. The best time to float this river section is between July and mid-August when water levels are even and rapids are minimal.

Scan the riverfront for Wood Duck, American (and sometimes Eurasian) Wigeon, Gadwall, Bufflehead, and Hooded Merganser. Also watch for Bald Eagle, Cooper’s Hawk, and a variety of woodpeckers and songbirds, including nesting MacGillivray’s Warbler. Barton offers 98 reservable campsites from May 1 to Sept 30, along with covered picnic shelters.
