2020年11月16日 · The first production Chrysler turbocharged engine was a 2.2 liter four-cylinder, launched in 1984, and generation 142 hp at 5,600 rpm and 160 lb-ft of torque at 3,200 rpm - around 30 hp and 30 lb-ft more than the best power made by any other 2.2, and competing with the bigger 3-liter Mitsubishi V6 in power - while turning in superior fuel economy.

The Dodge Daytona would become the first American-made front-drive sports car with a turbocharged engine, when the turbo 2.2 was installed. The 2.2 liter four-cylinder produced a respectable 142 horsepower, about the same as the 318 cubic inch V8 (albeit with less torque) -- quite good for the low weight of the Daytona.

2024年10月1日 · 1989 caravan turbo owner here. Ever since I acquired the van I've been interested in digging up more info and possibly even lost media on these rare machines. Particularly, I've come across a couple of old forum posts and comments near 15 years old of members claiming to have owned or seen a GRAND caravan with the turbo 2.5L motor.

2020年11月16日 · At the time, Dodge was rolling out the M4S Turbo concept as an Indy series pace car. The concept car reportedly cost Dodge and PPG around $1.5 million; it was powered by a 2.2 liter four cylinder engine engine with twin turbochargers (Garrett T25) and a twin-cam 16-valve cylinder head worked on by Cosworth.
