2023年9月10日 · "dust magnet" I guess he means the more texture, the more deep crevaces for dust to catch, that you will pick up with your brush when using it. A solution might be to use the cover of a wet palette like Army Painters to glue bits on the inside and when not used, put it back on the wet palette to prevent dust to settle on it.

2021年1月5日 · Hi guys I sometimes have some difficulty with dry brushing and came up with this technique that's made it easier for me. I make videos catered to those with additional physical needs, but hopefully this might be a useful technique for anyone who struggles with dry brushing.

It's to help unload the brush without using a paper towel. A paper towel is too absorbent and will draw out the moisture from your brush. Having a non absorbent palette like this with multiple textures will help make that easier to manage. It's also a nice treat piece so you can verify your dry brushing won't be over powering.

2023年6月16日 · For anything that is based on a partially dry brush, I use a simple piece of MDF as a pallet. And because, I use it for a long time, it has a lot of texture from countless layers of old paint. Therefore I also expect, I would have to print something like this again and again, if I want to keep brushing on the "original" texture.

2023年11月10日 · If you use the texture palette for cleaning your brushes like a wash board, then I can see the rougher textures being rougher on your brush, but you are probably using much cheaper brushes than Artis Opus, so it would need to be wearing them out significantly faster to warrant the cost difference in the palette vs DIY.

This is a dry brush testing pallette. When you want to dry brush something on your mini, you test the brush on this... melange until the paint goes down like how you want it to look on the actual model. It's not an essential item, as you can test dry brushing on any bit of sprue or spare part. I still use my finger.

2019年4月23日 · Wet vs Dry Palette. I used my wet palette for everything except for those rare times when I need to dry brush. The point of dry brushing is to use partially dried paint so a wet palette works against that. I just use a bit of plastic to put my paint on in those situations. But everything else? Wet palette all the way.

Yesterday i printed a Drybrush Palette for my AP Wet Palette and im super glad i did. Fits perfect on the Wet Palette.
