2020年11月17日 · I'm purchasing my first Ducati and its come down to a 2009 Monster 1100 or a 2008 Monster S2R 1000. Both are in excellent condition the the 2008 is being sold by an individual for $4300 and 2009 is being sold by an official Ducati dealership for $5500. Also the 2009 has had the belts changed and the valves adjusted plus all the fluids changed.

2007年8月6日 · So I looked at the S2R bikes - the 800 and the 1000s. I picked the 1000 simply because my dealer was giving a better "deal" and I was worried that I might "outgrow" the 800 like I did with the 695 and I did not want to have to trade in again in the near future. Now I've got the 1000 and it is truly a masterpiece. Its everything I expected and more.

2006年8月11日 · I've had time with both motors, an 800 monster (same engine as the S2r) and a Multi (has the same engine as the S2r 1000). Both engines are about the same in terms of power delivery, with the 1000 giving a little more oomph, to be expected. Air cooled Ducati engines are actually very easy maintanance-wise.

2007年12月6日 · Hello. Been lurking here a while; trying to learn as much as I can about the monsters. I am gearing up to make a new purchase. It will be one of the two mentioned in the title. I am undecided between the two. I like the power of the S4R but prefer the looks of the S2R 1000.

Because ethanol keeps blistering my ABS plastic oem fuel tank; I did remove old blisters, had the tank repainted and did put a set of new white stripings on the red paint but then the blistering started all over again (standard fuel here in The Netherlands, Europe, has 10 % ethanol in it but I only use higher grade fuel ...

2023年6月19日 · I have both an S2R 800 (2006) and a S2R 1000 (2008). Thinking of doing the Qd for the 800 since it is the "Dark" version and is really a naked bike set up from the start. Tail was chopped when I got the bike. The 1000 is 98% stock with the exception of the clutch pressure plate and open cover.

2006年12月2日 · S2R 800 (-) wussy front brakes that need replacing S2R 800 (-) wussy front brakes that need replacing edited to repeat this important point... brake upgrade can cost $1000 S2R 800 (+) amazingly well done "carburetion" from the EFI, giving supremely smooth in town manners. This also makes a grin come on my face everytime I ride my S2R800.
