2005年8月12日 · Hi All, Anybody have one of these and are they any good, my Simpson Horizon windlass is a piece of @@@@ it chews thru rope chain like there is no tommrow, and I am now going to get a new anchor puller, this ez anchor puller looks tough, kind of pricy, but if it works it would be cheaper that all the rope and chains mine chews thru !!!!! :mad:

2012年10月20日 · I have been using the EZ anchor puller on my 2520 Parker for almost 2 and 1/2 years now and I have not had the first problem with it. All I do is grease it once in a while. Works every time. :thumbsup: FYI the spool on the EZ is solid stainless steel, not aluminum.

Anchor winch I'd take the cover(s) off the winch and replace all the wiring and the switch and solenoid if necessary. It may be a PITA and cost some $ but a working anchor is the most important safety feature on a boat and should work without trouble every time.

The EZ Anchor Puller Premier Series and the StressFree NG are free fall as well. EZ Anchor Puller is planning on an enclosure as well so it can be mounted up top rather than in the anchor locker. Looking to add a Windlass to my Hydra-Sports 2390 and prefer barrels anchor windlass to the Lewmar style Windlass.

We have two drum anchor winch models that you may be interested in: the Patriot series (EZ-1, EZ-2, EZ-3) is completely direct-drive (you can stop/start mid deployment), which drops and retrieves anchor at an average of 100' per minute, OR our larger Rebel (EZ-4, EZ-5, EZ-6) units, usually geared toward larger vessels, that are free-fall units ...

First off - Check with the EZ Anchor Puller folks. They have excellent customer service. I am on my second EZ Anchor Puller. The first went with the Judge when it was sold. I now have a EZ on a 46 Markley charter boat. EZ Anchor Pullers are not rope/rode sensitive. That is one of the advantages of an EZ puller.

I have installed an EZ Puller drum anchor winch on my 2006 Hydra Sports 230 WA. I want to be able to deploy the anchor from the helm without going to the bow and free the anchor when I’m fishing solo. (Difficult balancing act for a 77-year-old.) However the anchor does not release from the bow roller when the rode is slacked to lower the anchor.

Uhhhh ok , as I stated in my reply right before yours , I do have a dog in the fight . Also as I stated above I will be mounting my newly bought E-Z rebel 4 IN my anchor locker I will also have the anchor roller and anchor pertruding out the bow BELOW the top deck , therefore I will not be doing anything on the top beck of bow .

EZ Anchor Puller So I'm fussing about my anchor situation; I have a 24' Striper, often fish/boat alone or with kids or my wife, and I don't want to keep humping up the anchor. For various reasons, using the ball is just as cumbersome, and I'm considering mounting a windlass.

This is new to me. Current boat is a Dusky 278, 600' of rode, using the manual retrieval system and/or anchor ball. I am thinking about a windlass. Also see the drum style anchor pullers, EZ Anchor is a sponsor here.
