2018年8月26日 · Hi guys, some of you might've seen my other post about how much business to expect for a forestry mulching business in PA with one man and a T770/mulching head. The two key assumptions to my financial plan are 1) that I can consistently work for 30-40 hours weel run time and 2) that people are actually willing to pay $1400/day for work.

I purchased a new 2011 T-870 about a month ago. I have owned and operated a 773 for a couple of years at around 50 an hour. With this new machine I can do 2 or 3 times the amount of work in an hour so should my rates reflect that? $100.00 to $125.00 an hour? Also Ive heard some people in my area charge $300 to $400 an hour for the forestry cutter.

2008年5月12日 · I don't think you will be disappointed with the 770. If you get the mulching head from Bobcat, you have to get their forestry kit which adds $$ to the package but in your location, with bigger trees, you might want the extra roof protection. The 770 is definitely a refined machine. Lift the cab and look at the guts. Well designed.

2021年8月21日 · There is a lot of mulching going on here for fire protection. Those big stand alone tracked mulching machines look like expensive money pits. Those full width skid steer mounted ones look like they would be hard on the machine. The mulchers on excavators seem like the way to go as long as the head is sized for the flow and cooling capacity ...

2007年7月5日 · It was brand new. The CAT I drove at the local dealer was a 2013 repo. Full forestry kit with steel tracks and 400 hrs. They wanted $97k plus the mulching head. I am good friends with a family that owns an out of state CAT dealer and they were $126 for the 2014 299D XHP with mulching head, forestry kit, HD bucket and rubber tracks. $20k difference.

2021年10月2日 · I'm looking for a little excavator to do mulching and light forestry work with. I've been looking at both of these machines. Spec-ed them out as close to apples to apples and I can. Both with segmented rubber, guarding, similar mulching heads, etc. The Tak is 20k cheaper.

2024年3月12日 · I have about 3.5 acres that will be clear by forestry mulching that will event be horse pasture. The 3.5 acres consists of mostly pines with a few gum trees through biggest being maybe 12” in diameter. My worry is after the mulching on what to do with the stumps and worry’s of regrowth. Plan is to mulch then burn the pasture area.
