Glyn Aur was a cottage garden with extensive topiary, much of it representing biblical figures and events. It was sometimes known as the Garden of Eden. The garden was open in its heyday but is now sadly lost.

Abergwili (Welsh pronunciation ⓘ) is a village and community in Carmarthenshire, Wales, near the confluence of the rivers Towy and Gwili, close to the town of Carmarthen. It is also an electoral ward. Named after the village of Abergwili, the community includes the settlements of Peniel, Llanfihangel-uwch-Gwili and White Mill.

There are 19 registered parks and gardens in Carmarthenshire. One is listed at Grade I, four at Grade II*, and 14 at Grade II. Country house garden[7] The most important feature is the early seventeenth-century arcaded court and raised walk to the west of the grade II* listed house.

Two anonymous artworks of the palace from the middle of the eighteenth century show both formal gardens and landscaped grounds. At this time the pleasure grounds appear to be just simple lawns and paths with just a few trees and shrubs.
