Leveling up will restore a lost life and give you 3-4 hands of cards: the first 2-3 hands will be talents, the 3rd hand will sometimes be a hand of cards that give you moves, and if there is a 4th one, you are given a hand of traits.

I don’t even use them honestly, but I did force this build to 25 because I was desperate for a power up. This character is dead now so I’m still learning how to make assassin builds better.

For the most part you should always have enough, but if you use autodidact or other methods to get free level up points (spent when sitting at a campfire) you will need to get more exp by doing events like clearing out a bandit camp or killing larger monsters.
