2010年1月28日 · One approach is simply to notch the bridge until the player is happy with the sting profile, then remove the bridge and re-profile the arch to match the notching. You can do this with the bridge in place, slackening one string at a time and re-notching -- only having to pull it once they are satisfied.

2017年5月8日 · I have heard that sometimes fiddles set up for bluegrass will have a flatter bridge to facilitate triple stops. Whether that’s true or not, I know that it as Mark M says: a proper bridge is not symmetrical, since it must allow for the strings which are different thicknesses.

4 天之前 · I haven't yet. Didn't feel like these blanks are worth my time fitting them onto my violin. Once I practice enough on these cheap-o blanks, at least to the point where I can make clean cuts and, well, not cut myself, I'll use some carbon paper to fit the bridge carved out of good blanks. If that fails, I'll fall back to the sandpaper approach.
