During this period he and his team built the motorcycles, Daddy-O (known to most people as the Rat Fink bike), Wild Child, and Chain of Mystery. Indian Larry was born Lawrence DeSmedt in Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York on April 28, 1949.

"Rat Fink," as this tribute bike is called, was built during Discovery Channel's Great Biker Build-Off competition in 2003. Under the constrictions of the TV show, the incredibly detailed chopper was put together in a 31-day thrash.

In 2003 he competed in a Biker Build-Off TV program. He won the build-off against Paul Yaffe with his Daddy-O (AKA Rat Fink) Motorcycle. He won again with his entry of “Wild Child” against Billy Lane. Going for the Hattrick Win he did a Biker Build-Off against Mondo. this is when he built “Chain of Mystery”.

2024年2月4日 · Indian Larry died on August 30, 2004, at the age of 55, from head injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident while performing at a bike show in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was doing one of his signature stunts, called the “no-handed stand”, where he stood on the seat of his bike while riding at high speed.

2004年6月18日 · Indian Larry, one of America's most well-known bike builders, created one of his greatest choppers to pay tribute to Roth. The homage was more than just one custom artist's nod to another.
