2017年7月17日 · Each page explores how the stuffy, old townsfolk don’t wish to have the new, different members of their community and this leads to some funny exchanges between the folk of Dull-on-Sea. Jim Lad and his family soon have to take their leave but leave a little surprise for the town to enjoy. Now for the teacher bit.

This unusual family soon has the whole neighborhood gossiping. Defying the grown-ups, Matilda becomes friends with young pirate Jim Lad. When the JolleyRogers return to sea, the town realizes that they were wrong to assume the worst when it is discovered that the pirates have buried treasure in everyone’s yard.
